  1. (a)Through the CMF, the CDFI Fund competitively awards grants to Certified CDFIs and qualified Nonprofit Organizations to leverage dollars for:
    1. (1)The Development, Preservation, Rehabilitation or Purchase of Affordable Housing primarily for Low-Income Families; and
    2. (2)The financing of Economic Development Activities.
  2. (b)The CDFI Fund selects Recipients to receive CMF Awards through a competitive Application process. CMF Awards may only be used for Eligible Uses set forth in subpart C of this part. Each Recipient will enter into an Assistance Agreement that will require it to leverage the CMF Award amount and abide by other terms and conditions pertinent to any assistance received under this part.
