An initial aeronautical knowledge test and recurrent training covers the following areas of knowledge:
  1. (a)Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation;
  2. (b)Airspace classification, operating requirements, and flight restrictions affecting small unmanned aircraft operation;
  3. (c)Aviation weather sources and effects of weather on small unmanned aircraft performance;
  4. (d)Small unmanned aircraft loading;
  5. (e)Emergency procedures;
  6. (f)Crew resource management;
  7. (g)Radio communication procedures;
  8. (h)Determining the performance of the small unmanned aircraft;
  9. (i)Physiological effects of drugs and alcohol;
  10. (j)Aeronautical decision-making and judgment;
  11. (k)Airport operations;
  12. (l)Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures; and
  13. (m)Operation at night.
