In addition to the definitions contained in 5 U.S.C. 552a(a), the following definitions apply in this subpart: Commission means the Securities and Exchange Commission. Inquiry means a request described in Privacy Act section (f)(1). Privacy Act means the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (5 U.S.C. 552a). Request for access to a record means a request made under Privacy Act section (d)(1). Request for amendment or correction of a record means a request made under Privacy Act section (d)(2). Request for an accounting means a request made under Privacy Act section (c)(3). Requester means an individual who makes an inquiry, a request for access, a request for amendment or correction, or a request for an accounting.
