  1. (a)A DoD Component may use something other than a DoD form as its award cover pages only if:
    1. (1)There is not currently any DoD form for the award cover pages; or
    2. (2)The DoD Component obtains approval for a deviation from the requirement to use a DoD form from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, in accordance with the procedures specified in 32 CFR 21.340.
  2. (b)If a DoD Component does not use a DoD form for its award cover pages, as described in paragraph (a) of this section, its award cover pages must include all information specified in § 1120.105.
