21 CFR §520.110

1. (a)Specifications. A water soluble powder used to make a medicated drinking water containing apramycin sulfate equivalent to 0.375 gram of apramycin activity per gallon of drinking water.
2. (b)Sponsor. See No. 058198 in § 510.600(c) of this chapter.
3. (c)Related tolerances. See § 556.52 of this chapter.
4. (d)Conditions of use in swine—(1) Amount. Administer in drinking water at the rate of 12.5 milligrams of apramycin per kilogram (5.7 milligrams per pound) of body weight per day for 7 days.
   1. (2)Indications for use. For the control of porcine colibacillosis (weanling pig scours) caused by strains of Escherichia coli sensitive to apramycin.
   2. (3)Limitations. Do not slaughter treated swine for 28 days following treatment. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
