  1. (a)Specifications. Each gram of powder contains penicillin G potassium equivalent to 1.54 million units of penicillin G.
  2. (b)Sponsors. See Nos. 016592, 042791, 054771, 061133, and 076475 in § 510.600(c) of this chapter.
  3. (c)Related tolerances. See § 556.510 of this chapter.
  4. (d)Conditions of use in turkeys—(1) Amount. 1,500,000 units per gallon drinking water for 5 days.
    1. (2)Indications for use. Treatment of erysipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.
    2. (3)Limitations. Discontinue treatment at least 1 day prior to slaughter. Not for use in turkeys producing eggs for human consumption. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
