  1. (a)There are three classifications for the purpose of assessing bridge condition. They are:
    1. (1)Percentage of NHS bridges classified as in Good condition;
    2. (2)Percentage of NHS bridges classified as in Fair condition; and
    3. (3)Percentage of NHS bridges classified as in Poor condition.

  3. (c)To carry out the NHPP, two of the three classifications are performance measures for State DOTs to use to assess bridge condition on the NHS. They are:
    1. (1)Percentage of NHS bridges classified as in Good condition; and
    2. (2)Percentage of NHS bridges classified as in Poor condition.
