  1. (a)When a Borrower is an Indian Family. A Section 184 Guaranteed Loan may be used to purchase, construct, rehabilitate, or refinance a property, which may contain up to four dwelling units. The Borrower must occupy one unit on the property as a Principal Residence and may rent the additional units.
  2. (b)When the Borrower is a Tribe or TDHE. There is no limit to the number of properties a Tribe or TDHE may purchase or own with a Section 184 Guaranteed Loan(s) on or off Trust Land. However, the Tribe or TDHE must meet all applicable Section 184 program requirements.
