NHHBG funds may be used for the provision of housing-related services for affordable housing, including:
  1. (a)Housing counseling, as defined in § 5.100, in connection with rental or homeownership assistance must be carried out in accordance with 24 CFR 5.111;
  2. (b)The establishment and support of resident organizations and resident management corporations;
  3. (c)Energy auditing;
  4. (d)Activities related to the provisions of self-sufficiency and other services;
  5. (e)Homelessness prevention activities, which may include short term subsidies to defray rent and utility bills of an eligible family;
  6. (f)Payments to prevent foreclosure on a home;
  7. (g)Other services related to assisting owners, tenants, contractors, and other entities participating or seeking to participate in other housing activities assisted pursuant to the Act and this part.
