NHHBG funds may be used for the provision of tenant-based rental assistance, which may include security deposits and first month's rent, and project-based rental assistance.
  1. (a)Rental assistance must comply with the requirements of this part and be provided to eligible families.
  2. (b)Rental assistance may be provided to eligible families both on and off the Hawaiian Home Lands provided such use is consistent with the applicable appropriations acts governing the use of the NHHBG funds.
