  1. (a)HUD shall identify Eligible Projects which are most likely to meet the selection criteria set forth in § 886.117, and shall invite the Owners of such projects to make application for Section 8 assistance under this part.
  2. (b)An Owner of an Eligible Project who has not been notified pursuant to paragraph (a) of this section may also make application for such assistance.
