  1. (a)Preexisting condition exclusion defined.
    1. (1)A preexisting condition exclusion means a preexisting condition exclusion within the meaning of § 54.9801-2.
    2. (2)Examples. The rules of this paragraph (a)(1) are illustrated by the following examples:
  2. (b)General rules. See section 2704 of the Public Health Service Act, incorporated into section 9815 of the Code, and its implementing regulations for rules prohibiting the imposition of a preexisting condition exclusion.
