The required weekly tests and inspections of lifesaving equipment are as follows:
  1. (a)The operator must visually inspect each survival craft, rescue boat, and launching device to ensure its readiness for use;
  2. (b)The operator must test the general alarm system; and
  3. (c)The operator must test for readiness of the engine, starting device, and communications equipment of each lifeboat and rescue boat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
