The following definitions apply to §§ 17.613 through 17.618. Acceptable level of academic standing means: Covered medical school means any of the following: VA means the Department of Veterans Affairs. VHVMASP means the Veterans Healing Veterans Medical Access and Scholarship Program authorized by section 304 of the VA MISSION Act of 2018, Public Law 115-182.
(1) Maintaining a cumulative grade point average at or above passing, as determined by the medical school;
(2) Completing all required courses with a passing grade;
(3) Successfully completing the required course of study for graduation within four academic years;
(4) Successfully passing the required United States Medical Licensing Examinations steps 1 and 2, within the timeframe for graduation from medical school; and
(5) Having no final determinations of unprofessional conduct or behavior. (1) Texas A&M College of Medicine. (2) Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
