BLM will issue two types of geothermal leases:
  1. (a)Geothermal leases (competitively issued under subpart 3203 or noncompetitively issued under subpart 3204) which may be used for any type of geothermal use, such as commercial generation of electricity or direct use of the resource.
  2. (b)Direct use leases (issued under subpart 3205).
