The following types of entities are eligible to apply to become VISTA sponsors and thereby undertake projects in the U.S. and certain U.S. territories:
  1. (a)Private nonprofit organizations.
  2. (b)Public nonprofit organizations.
  3. (c)State government or state government agencies.
  4. (d)Local government or local government agencies.
  5. (e)Tribal government or tribal government agencies.
