45 CFR §670.39

1. (a)Reasonable precautions shall be taken to prevent the accidental introduction of microorganisms not present naturally in the Antarctic Treaty area.
2. (b)Any species, including progeny, not native to the Antarctic Treaty area, that is introduced without a permit, shall be removed or disposed of, whenever feasible, unless the removal or disposal would result in a greater adverse environmental impact. Reasonable steps shall be taken to control the consequences of an introduction to avoid harm to native fauna or flora.
