  1. (a)The maximum output power for portable DSRCS On-Board Unit (OBU) transmitter types is 1.0 mW.
  2. (b)The power limits in paragraph (a) of this section may be referenced to the antenna input, so that cable losses are taken into account.
  3. (c)For purposes of this section, a portable unit is a transmitting device designed to be used so that the radiating structure(s) of the device is/are within 20 centimeters of the body of the user.
