  1. (a)The relation of this subpart to other laws is set forth in § 600.705 of this title and paragraph (b) of this section. Particular note should be made to the reference in § 600.705 to the applicability of title 46 U.S.C., under which a Certificate of Documentation is invalid when the vessel is placed under the command of a person who is not a citizen of the United States.
  2. (b)Minimum size limitations for certain species, such as reef fish in the Gulf of America, may apply to vessels transiting the EEZ with such species aboard.
