These prohibitions are specific to the recreational fisheries. General groundfish prohibitions are found at § 660.12, subpart C. In addition to the general groundfish prohibitions specified in § 600.12, subpart C, of this chapter, it is unlawful for any person to:
  1. (a)Sell, offer to sell, or purchase any groundfish taken in the course of recreational groundfish fishing.
  2. (b)Use fishing gear other than hook-and-line or spear for recreational fishing.
  3. (c)Fail to have at least one functional descending device on board ready for immediate use during a groundfish recreational fishing trip.
