Information relating to pending applications shall be published periodically as determined by the Commissioner to be necessary in the public interest. With respect to each application, the Plant Variety Protection Office website (https://www.ams.usda.gov/PVPO) shall show:
  1. (a)Application number and date of filing;
  2. (b)The name of the variety or temporary designation;
  3. (c)The name of the crop; and
  4. (d)Whether the applicant specified that the variety is to be sold by variety name only as a class of certified seed, together with a limitation in the number of generations that it can be certified.
