  1. (a)Almonds means (unless otherwise specified) all varieties of almonds (except bitter almonds), either shelled or unshelled, grown in the State of California, and, for the purposes of research includes almond biomass.
  2. (b)Almond biomass means the hulls, shells, and skins of harvested almonds and woody biomass derived from almond trees (e.g., tree limbs, bark, prunings).
