An alien is ineligible for Temporary Protected Status if the alien:
  1. (a)Has been convicted of any felony or two or more misdemeanors, as defined in § 1244.1, committed in the United States, or
  2. (b)Is an alien described in section 208(b)(2)(A) of the Act.
