  1. (a)DesignationMay 22 is National Maritime Day.
  2. (b)ProclamationThe President is requested to issue each year a proclamation calling on—
    1. (1)the people of the United States to observe National Maritime Day by displaying the flag of the United States at their homes or other suitable places; and
    2. (2)United States Government officials to display the flag on all Government buildings on National Maritime Day.
