36 U.S.C. § 140501

1. (a)Military Order of the Purple Heart of the United States of America, Incorporated (in this chapter, the “corporation”), is a federally chartered corporation.
2. (b)The corporation is declared to be incorporated and domiciled in the District of Columbia.
3. (c)Except as otherwise provided, the corporation has perpetual existence.
