A weighted student unit is an adjusted ratio using factors in the Indian School Equalization Formula to establish educational priorities and to provide for the unique needs of specific students, such as:
  1. (a)Students in grades kindergarten through 3 or grades 7 through 12;
  2. (b)Special education students;
  3. (c)Gifted and talented students;
  4. (d)Distance education students;
  5. (e)Vocational and industrial education students;
  6. (f)Native Language Instruction students;
  7. (g)Small schools;
  8. (h)Personnel costs;
  9. (i)Alternative schooling; and
  10. (j)Early Childhood Education programs.
