32 CFR §200.100

1. (a)Basis. This part implements section 1128A of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1320a-7a) (the Act).
2. (b)Purpose. This part—
   1. (1)Provides for the imposition of civil money penalties and, as applicable, assessments against persons who have committed an act or omission that violates one or more provisions of this part; and
   2. (2)Sets forth the appeal rights of persons subject to a penalty and assessment.
