40 CFR §415.161

For the purpose of this subpart:
  1. (a)Except as provided below, the general definitions, abbreviations and methods of analysis set forth in 40 CFR part 401 shall apply to this subpart.
  2. (b)The term product shall mean sodium chloride.
  3. (c)The term bitterns shall mean the saturated brine solution remaining after precipitation of sodium chloride in the solar evaporation process.
