States must establish a mechanism and monitor to evaluate the screen and enroll process described at § 457.350 of this subpart to ensure that children who are:
  1. (a)Screened as potentially eligible for other insurance affordability programs are enrolled in such programs, if eligible; or
  2. (b)Determined ineligible for other insurance affordability programs are enrolled in CHIP, if eligible.
