Each inflatable PFD must be marked as approved by the Commandant. At a minimum, all labels must include—
  1. (a)Size information, as appropriate;
  2. (b)The Coast Guard approval number;
  3. (c)Manufacturer's contact information;
  4. (d)Model name/number;
  5. (e)Lot number, manufacturer date; and
  6. (f)Any limitations or restrictions on approval or special instructions for use.
