  1. (a)Each PFD must be marked with the appropriate label as specified in Figure 6DV of ANSI/CAN/UL 12402-5 (incorporated by reference, see § 160.264-5).
  2. (b)The Commandant may prescribe additional marking requirements for special purpose devices or unique or novel designs.
