  1. (a)This subpart applies to all tankships that have a keel laying date on or after January 1, 1975.
  2. (b)Vessels meeting the structural fire protection requirements of SOLAS, Chapter II-2, Regulations 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11 (incorporated by reference, see § 32.01-1), may be considered equivalent to the provisions of this subpart.
