  1. (a)Casing doors in category A machinery spaces and all elevator doors must be self-closing and must meet the requirements of 46 CFR 72.05-25(b).
  2. (b)If a means of holding a door open is used, it must be a magnetic holdback or equivalent device that is operated from the bridge or other suitable remote control position.
