  1. (a)Periodic tests and inspection must be made of the main and auxiliary machinery, boilers, and other equipment as prescribed in this part.
  2. (b)The inspections and tests must ensure that the equipment and associated structure are in satisfactory operating conditions and fit for the service for which they are intended.
