An MPT must be designed—
  1. (a)In accordance with Section VIII of the ASME BPVC (incorporated by reference; see § 64.2) and this subpart;
  2. (b)With a maximum gross weight of 55,000 pounds;
  3. (c)To hold a liquid cargo that has a vapor pressure of 43 pounds per square inch absolute (psia) or less at a temperature of 122 °F;
  4. (d)With a minimum service temperature of 0 °F or higher;
  5. (e)With a maximum allowable working pressure of not less than 20 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) but not more than 48 psig; and
  6. (f)To withstand dynamic loading conditions applied simultaneously.
