This part, in conjunction with FAR part 52—
  1. (a)Sets forth the provisions and clauses prescribed in the NFS,
  2. (b)Gives instructions for their use, and
  3. (c)Presents a matrix listing the provisions and clauses applicable to each principal contract type and/or purpose (e.g., fixed-price supply, cost-reimbursement research and development).
