5 CFR §315.301 — Tenure on appointment from register.

  1. (a)Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, an eligible appointed from a register for other than temporary or term employment becomes a career-conditional employee.
  2. (b)An eligible appointed from a register for other than temporary or term employment becomes a career employee when he is excepted from the service requirement for career tenure by § 315.201(c).
