In this subchapter:
  1. (1)The term “Department” means the Department of Energy.
  2. (2)The term “institution of higher education” has the meaning given the term in section 1001(a) of title 20.
  3. (3)The term “National Laboratory” has the meaning given the term in section 15801 of this title.
  4. (4)The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Energy.
