Meat-type turkey. A domesticated turkey grown for the primary purpose of producing meat. Meat-type turkey slaughter plant. A meat-type turkey slaughter plant that is federally inspected or under State inspection that the Food Safety Inspection Service has recognized as equivalent to federal inspection.
